
David R. Asplund has been one of our directors since June 2002 and has been our Chief Executive Officer since January 2006. Prior to becoming CEO of Lime Energy, Mr. Asplund was President of Delano Group Securities, LLC, an investment banking firm in Chicago, Illinois, which he founded in 1999. Prior to founding Delano, Mr. Asplund was a Senior Managing Director of Bear Stearns and Branch Manager of their Chicago office. Prior to joining Bear Stearns, he held positions with Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers. Mr. Asplund is also a Director of AgeNet, Inc., a private corporation operating a national eldercare network and Managing Member of Augustine Capital Management, LLC, an advisor to a private equity fund. Mr. Asplund holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
Daniel W. Parke has been our President and Chief Operating officer since we acquired Parke P.A.N.D.A. Corporation, which he owned and served as its President from its founding in 2001.
Mr. Parke was previously the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Parke Industries, Inc, an energy solutions provider which he started in 1983. Parke Industries built a national sales and construction company that had offices throughout the United States and Canada. The company upgraded over 500 million square feet from 1983 to 1997. Many of Parke's customers included Fortune 1000 companies such as, GE Capital, Hewlett Packard, Hughes Aircraft, The California State University System and many other well known companies. In 1996 Parke Industries was awarded the prestigious Green Lights Ally of the year. In February of 1998 Parke was acquired by Strategic Resource Solution, an unregulated subsidiary of Carolina Power and Light.
Mr. Parke holds a business degree from Azusa Pacific University.
Jeffrey R. Mistarz has been our Chief Financial Officer since January 2000, our Treasurer since October 2000, an Executive Vice President since November 2002 and our Assistant Secretary/Secretary since February 2003. From January 1994 until joining us, Mr. Mistarz served as Chief Financial Officer for Nucon Corporation, a privately held manufacturer of material handling products and systems, responsible for all areas of finance and accounting, managing capital and stockholder relations. Prior to joining Nucon, Mr. Mistarz was with First Chicago Corporation (now JPMorgan Chase & Co.) for 12 years where he held several positions in corporate lending, investment banking and credit strategy.
PK Kapadia leads the engineering division of Lime Energy. Mr. Kapadia ran Kapadia Energy Services Inc., a full-service energy services company, for 26 years prior to being acquired by Lime Energy in 2006. Mr. Kapadia worked for Honeywell for two years as an applications engineer before starting his own company in 1980. He graduated from Tufts University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Kapadia oversees the engineering of all projects for Lime Energy, including audits, feasibility studies, simulations, design and specification for turn-key installations performed by Lime Energy.
David R. Krueger is our Sr. Vice President of National Operations nationally. Previously, Mr. Krueger served as General Manager and Vice President for Parke P.A.N.D.A. Corporation since its inception in 2001 until Parke P.AN.D.A. Corporations acquisition by Lime Energy in June of 2006. With over 19 years of continuous involvement in the energy efficiency field, he has held a wide variety of Senior Management positions focused on all aspects of the operational and implementation functions of the business for such companies as Strategic Resource Solutions and Parke Industries, Inc. During this tenure, Mr. Krueger has had direct responsibility for the successful design and implementation of over 600 million square feet of energy efficiency upgrades in virtually every industry segment. Mr. Krueger holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Joseph A. Barnes has been our Vice President of the Midwest Region since August 2006. Prior to joining Lime Energy, Mr. Barnes was President and General Manager of Power Systems Technology, an energy management and solutions company from its inception in 1999. Prior to joining Power Systems technology, Mr. Barnes held senior sales positions in the electrical automation and distribution fields. He has over 30 years of technical and sales experience in the electrical, automation and energy management industry.
Mr. Meier is Vice President, Engineering Services. His focus is on the design and implementation of energy efficiency projects for commercial buildings. He is a registered Professional Engineer and Certified Energy Manager with 20 years of mechanical/energy engineering experience. His expertise includes negotiation of electricity and natural gas contracts and the design and development of corporate energy conservation programs. Mr. Meier has directed a wide variety of energy cost reduction projects including central plant upgrades, cogeneration systems, thermal energy storage, lighting design & installation, commissioning of industrial refrigeration plants and alternative energy studies. Prior to joining Lime Energy, Mr. Meier was a senior manager for Ernst & Young's Real Estate Advisory practice. He also spent eight years as project engineer/project manager with R.G. Vanderweil Engineers. Mr. Meier serves on the Board of Directors for both the New York Association of Energy Engineers (AEE-NY) and the New York Energy Consumers Council (NYECC). He holds memberships in the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Mid-Atlantic Combined Heat & Power Application Center (MAAC).
Brad Boyett has been in the energy conservation business for over 29 years. He has worked on projects including lighting upgrades and new construction design, solar window film, HVAC upgrades, Energy Management Systems, commissioning of building systems and Reflective Roofing Technologies. He has worked with various rebate programs all over Texas to help his clients receive utility incentives. He was a pioneer in the lighting and solar film business with Austin Energy's rebate program in the early 80's and has completed over 200 projects in Austin alone. Brad has also helped several companies receive Energy Star status from the EPA. He was involved with the design and implementation for the Centex Homes corporation headquarters in Dallas Texas. They received a score of 99 from the EPA's Energy Star Program. This is the highest score achieved by any commercial building in the U.S.
Before joining Lime, Brad renamed his company to Texas Energy Products in 1980 and sold it in 1988 to Parke Industries based in Glendora, California. He worked as the Southwest regional manager for Parke for 11 years in Texas. Parke was sold to SRS, a division of Carolina Power and Light in 1998. After reestablishing Texas Energy Products in February 2002, Brad worked to add some additional services to their Energy Services menu. Brad is an active member of NTAEE, AAFAME, BOMA Austin and AEE Austin/San Antonio Chapter.
Mr. Barbary has been in the energy related business for the last 29 years. He started his career with Allied Chemical Corporation as an Industrial Controls Engineer. In this role he received hands on experience relative to the operation and maintenance of sophisticated Building Management and Industrial Process Controls. He leveraged this position into a career at Creighton University as the Head of Technical Engineering. This experience gave him insight into the challenges the end user can face utilizing complex, proprietary EMS Systems.
Subsequent to his Creighton experience Mr. Barbary held positions of increasing responsibility in the Engineering and Operations Groups at Honeywell, Inc. and Johnson Controls, Inc. Based upon his success he was recruited by San Diego Gas and Electric as the Sr. Project Engineer in the DSM Department to manage a $20,000,000 EMS retrofit project at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.
At the conclusion of this project Mr. Barbary followed his entrepreneurial skills to become the Director of Product Development and Technical Support for Pentech Solutions and then Maximum Performance Group. In this role he was a core member of the initial eMAC product development team in 2000. He was also responsible for overseeing field deployment and product support for the eMAC product offering.
Currently, as the VP of Technology for Lime Energy, his role is to lead product development, technical support and manufacturing management.
